Corpse Bride film review

I went and saw "Corpse Bride" this weekend and while I'm a huge fan of computer generated movies, I thought "Corpse Bride" was missing a few tweeks. It's a story about an arranged marriage where the young groom voiced by Johnny Deep flubs up his marriage vows at rehersal and in his humiliation runs away to a graveyard to practice them and unwillingly puts the wedding ring on a deceased bride whose intended killed her on her wedding day. The characters are big eyed and expressive, compelling and relatable. The song and tunes were weak and forgetable. The story line does bounce along and keep you interested, though the whole thing is only a little over an hour long. One of the things I noticed and liked a lot was how the living world was cold looking, almost black and white, with their heavily emphasis on material goods and the world of the dead was more colorful, lively, and emotionally bonding. They do back fill the story in places that I thought could have been worked forward instead. It would be a movie I'd rent but not add to my library.
